The Victorians really did love their technology. While they did not have the iPhone and WiFi, they were pioneering the way for things just like that. The Great Exhibition showcased all of the new technology that was being produced all over the , and the Victorians ate it up. We don’t have anything like the Great Exhibition now, because when a new invention happens, we hear about as soon as someone can tweet about it, which is pretty fast. However, I think that Victorians would love the new technology today. I mean, the abundance of serial killers would go down, due to street cameras and much better forensics (Jack the Ripper would have only ripped once nowadays). Also the Victorian women could see what Queen Victoria was wearing yesterday, and recreate it in three hours (hello fast fashion).
